The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

In a troubled land, an orphaned boy named Sage, has no reason to ever be in nobleman Connor’s company, until Connor develops a seemingly sinister plan to dupe the people. The entire royal family, the king, queen, and prince, have died unexpectedly, but the citizens are yet to find out. When they do, the unsettled empire will no doubt collapse. Unless someone can take their place. But who? An impersonator of the long-lost Prince Jaron is what Connor has his mind set on. Now the young and defiant Sage is in the running to become this sovereign stooge, or die trying.

What I Thought of The False Prince

The False Prince is packed with action, royal drama, and deceit. One huge secret that is revealed transforms the story..you will have to read the book to find out what that is! I really enjoyed the constant twists and turns intertwined into this novel, and how it truly captured Sage’s raw personality.  I would suggest this to teen boys and girls, but especially boys because it has a good amount of action and adventure. Overall, The False Prince was great, well deserving 5 out of 5 stars! This book is part of a trilogy with the following books being The Runaway King and The Shadow Throne.

Overall Rating: 5 Stars
